Top Golf Shoe for an everyday golfer

Looking to get the FIL a pair of nice golf shoes for Christmas. He plays literally every day and his joints aren’t great so comfort and support are very important.
I was looking at the Footjoys and the Echos. Any specific models would be much appreciated TIA

2. People will laugh, but the Sketches are really really good. Eccos are also very comfortable. Get him the walking style more tennis looking shoe. They are much more comfortable than the tradional plastic spikes

^what Mingo said. They make some comfortable arse golf shoes now. I have a pair of Adidas that I like more than my regular tennis shoes.

If you want most comfortable, get one of the Adidas models that has boost in it.

Go to an Ecco outlet if possible. I wear them to the course and every stop i have to make on the way home from the course

Researched a year ago for a good golf shoe for walking and Ecco was consistently at the top. I bought a pair of Ecco Hybrids and they are very comfortable and durable. Not cheap but they have already lasted longer than the Adidas that went < 1 year

The best I’ve found are the adidas tour 360, but they aren’t cheap.

I would get a gift certificate for him and let him pick his own shoes.....or buy from a local pro and ensure that your FIL can exchange with no problem.
Ecco was highly recommended in this board when Inwas researching. My line up is a couple of FJ dry joint tours for these wet conditions and the Eccos for day to day playing...Eccos are waterprooof though.

No they won’t. They really are.
I’ve got a black pair of Eccos and a white pair of New Balance. The Eccos are a street shoe style spike less. I wore them when i walked Chambers Bay and my feet never hurt once.
I just got the New Balances. Worn them a couple of times and they’ve been pretty great.
