Longer is always better than shorter so why eliminate the short guys before they ever hit a shot with the length of the course and the length of the rough?
The short guys eliminate themselves when they aren’t accurate. Any course. Period. It’s the nature of the game that they are at that disadvantage. The point here is to keep the scores within reason and not stupid low. I keep saying that and you keep ignoring it.

Because it isn't factual.

Again, great evidence.

The fact that you'd rather watch these guys play Torrey or Bay Hill or some other piece of shite bomb and gsuge course is honestly a disgrace.

Says the guy who simply says “that’s not true” without any evidence.

While it’s been written about extensively that the changes to the golf course have been made to limit the scoring and how they’ve been proven to work. If not for those changes, it’s pretty much common knowledge that scores would be out of hand. Again? The only way to keep it the way it was and stop the -20s that were on the way would be to do some stupid stuff with the greens.

Because it's firm and fast and brings strategy into play and narrows fairways and greens. Overseeing makes it soft which takes all strategy out of the game. It takes out the ground game and turns it into a dart competition.

Well this isn’t true at all. Maybe in some aspects. But look at Valero. Firm and fast. These greens are still Only 2/3 years old. Still firm. They can cut the greens down to whatever they want. Which they are cutting Poa Triviallis overseed to .100 of an inch that will stress them and burn them where they will roll fast.

Pga players fact sheet. Click pga logo players champ. Then pre tourney notes. LINK

The Valero course also sucks.

It’s firm and fast. I’ve played it 50 times. It does suck.

Ell and Ball Champ are infinitely more knowledgeable on course design than Doak, Coore Crenshaw, Gil Hance, Seth Raynor, Tillinhaust, McKenzie, etc, etc, that much has been made exorbantly clear

I’m just stating you have been wrong on a ton of shite. Specially the overseeding.

Wait, so now you are claiming that all of these course designers agree with you? You better starting dropping links son

Your link gave no evidence of the contrary. Idiots like you and ell are the reason golf is on the decline. You push the narrative that green and long and penal is good driving the masses away from the game. You should be ashamed of yourself.

Do they not design or did design courses similar to what I'm advocating?

I don't need links just look at the dirt they moved and the courses they, you know, actually built

You want the links to the news stories about Augusta changes and why? And how in those articles, they discuss that it's being made more difficult by adding length and rough and trees?

Or do you want a link to the obvious conclusion that a course that, if not made more difficult, would result in lower tournament scores as the accuracy and distance increase in all of the players?

If you're fine with those insanely low scores at Augusta, fine. It's on par with your other opinions in this thread.

Overseed when cut right still can play fast. What don’t you get about this. And the link is to show they are cutting at a low height. You probably don’t even know the average Bermuda cut length.

Its manufacturing difficulty and eliminating half or more of the field before the first tee shot is ever hit. I bet you love the USGA.

Yes. My opinion on keeping the scoring reasonable at augusta has driven thousands away from picking up a club at their local munis. I should kill myself.

re: Thoughts on the Players becoming a Major Championship?
It doesn’t suck because it’s firm and fast. It sucks because it’s too long, narrow, and the greens are poorly designed, especially for how windy it gets there.
