Why don’t you just learn how to hit a fricking driver on the sweet spot.

I’m not the one talking about liking to hit the ball off of the toe fricker

I’ve been following the mark crossfield stuff. That video was excellent IMO.

I read they stopped because he is sponsored by Titleist or some other competitor. I just cannot read or listen to anything by Mark. I don't know if it is his cartoon picture he uses or what but I just cannot do it.

Yeah, think he picked up a sponsorship from titleist so Taylormade say “nah”.

I like him overall, think he gives good smart insight to golf and his on course club reviews are good. He does get a bit whiny from time to time though.

I love Mark Crossfield and his videos. His reviews are generally that it all comes down to strike versus equipment and the importance of custom fit. But, he comes all awfully salty in his video.

He is now sponsored by Titleist now and is playing their stuff. TaylorMade says they will not send out product to any reviewer sponsored by one manufacturer essentially questioning whether he can remain unbiased.

When I first started watching him I couldn’t stand it, but he’s really grown on me. His course vlogs are usually pretty funny and he has a ton of golf knowledge.

Makes sense. Titleist can buy the clubs he needs to test.

Just watched that Rick Shiels video. Compared to other drivers he’s hit, the numbers and dispersion didn’t look great for him with the M3 and M4. Also they don’t sound very good, IMO.

He was all over the place with the drives and they didnt seem long by any means

I am gonna say this is a bust. We are talking about 14 yards of distance left to right. This isnt a fix all kinda club. If you slice, you'll still slice it. I think this is for those who it hit it straight like the pros who lose 2-5 yards right or left on mishits. Not 95% of golf population

My question is how does this affect control? Some people "want" to hit a draw or fade and know that they can get more of one or the other by hitting it closer to the toe or heel.

As a high spin driver, I try to keep my ball strikes closer to the toe because anything on the heel would be a disaster. It works well enough for me. Do I change my swing/approach based on the equipment?

Rick Shiels addresses these exact concerns

Rick was not a fan. He tried to be as nice about it as he could be. His new review format is excellent.

The content he's putting out there is great. Really big contrast compared to Crossfield who's become so jaded with reviews that he doesn't really do them anymore and every single one has the same preachy message: "the numbers I show you mean nothing because dynamic loft this and strike location that."

He was all over the place in his initial video. I walked away thinking that it was either mental or the arrow flat out sucks. I think we'll see alot of M3 and M4's on tour without the twisty face thingy

I enjoy mark’s driver reviews because it’s really hilarious how all the drivers promise distance and he hits almost all of them 262-263. Mark’s iron reviews don’t do much for me though.
