Playing Southern Trace at some point this weekend. Want to squeeze in two more rounds. If I'm making the drive up there from BR I would prefer to play 2 more courses. Any suggestions?

Thanks.

Shreveport golf blows. Try to get on East Ridge if you can. Stonebridge in Bossier is probably the best public play option. It's in decent shape now.

I played Querbes last Thursday morning rode by myself & got through in 2 1/2 hours. I did have 3 groups let me play through. It could take a while on a weekend. East Ridge & Southern Trace are by far the best courses in town though.

Southern Trace, East Ridge and Stonebridge are head and shoulders above any of the other courses up here...Querbes, Huntington, Northwood, Olde Oaks & Crooked Hollow are your only other options.

Southern Trace is right off of I-49, when your finished head south and play Oakwing or Links on the Bayou in Alex. They are in great shape.

East ridge and southern trace are the best courses. both private

If you have to play a municipal course, go to querbes. It’s like an upgraded Webb

havent played Querbes since I was in high school ('89). Always thought Huntington was a slightly better track. I liked the layout of old oaks in haughton but greens were terrible when I played it a few years ago.

Have actually played there a few times in the past couple of months. The greens are in the best shape they've been in dating back to about 6 or 7 years ago. The GM(Martinez) of both Stonebridgd/Olde Oaks has been putting in nice work on the course since the spring. He's out there himself sometimes mowing the fairways/roughs. Currently only Meadows and Cypress are open and will be next spring before Oaks gets reopened. If you haven't been out there in a couple years, go give it a shot.....$30 with tax 7 days/week.

Both Querbes and Huntington spent millions of dollars upgrading the greens and layouts. Huntington is by far the more challenging layout, but they are both in great shape.
