Looks like I’ll be working around Shreveport a lot this year. I’ll be looking to get some rounds in while on casing breaks. What are the best courses I can get on? And of course if there are any members of the fancy courses I would be more than willing to tag along for a round if you’ll have me.

Shreveport golf is shite right now. Eastridge and Southern Trace are the only 2 private clubs left and ST is quickly turning into a goat ranch. The public courses, Querbes and Huntington, are in pretty good shape from what I hear. Stonebridge is in Bossier and is semi-private - pretty good layout though conditions are spotty.

Work hard to find someone to take you over to Squire Creek, it’s possibly the best track in the state.

Also check out Tempest in Gladewater, Tx - about an hour west of us and is a new, beautiful course.

Give Reg Adams, the new PGA golf professional at Huntington Park a call and I am sure he can help you out. He is an outstanding guy and has been in the area for years. Knows all the courses and who to contact to get you on. Huntington is a beautiful layout that Reg is getting into great shape!

Best and maybe only real driving range is in Bossier(I-220 @ Benton Rd.). Northwood and Stonebridge are the two courses I play the most and should start to improve in the next few weeks as temps start to warm up.

Don’t overlook Crooked Hollow in Greenwood. Nice, 3 dimensional course with a challenging layout. Worth the drive west of town.
