Just started playing and am still learning, had the pleasure of playing Shell Landing in Gautier Ms. what a beautiful course it's challenging but fair. I like it a little more than Grand Bear which it also great. It's so much nicer than the local goat ranch I usually play. It's well worth the drive and was only $45 after 1 pm with range balls included.

I've played it several times. The folks who run it are really nice people. Usually in really good shape. It's got a few goofy holes, but some really good ones too.

Can't agree with it being better than the Bear though. That's a special golf course on a really good piece of property.

The rough was not as deep as the Bear which helped my game a lot. Both are great courses and give you a very secluded feeling like it's your private course.

Nothing wrong with playing on a goat ranch. They tend to have much lower green fees...nicer staff to deal with...and a great way to improve ones game with the imperfections (short game and accuracy).
