Punta Cana Golf

Leaving for my honeymoon tomorrow. Planning on playing one round of golf.
My buddy suggested Punta Espada, but its an hour away from the hotel so I kind of wanted something closer.
Any suggestions? We're staying at Excellence El Carmen

I played at Casa De Campo on my honeymoon, they have 3 courses, I believe I played Dye Fore and Teeth of the Dog.
They were both awesome, I had a caddie who knew exactly what he was doing, and they were in immaculate shape.
I did have to take a taxi about an hour from my resort (I stayed at the Excellence).
It was definitely not a cheap endeavor, but hell how many times are you golfing on your honeymoon?

Sounds like it's really far from where you're staying, but Punta Espada is pretty awesome. I played it a couple of times when I was there a few years ago and it was in perfect shape, lots of holes with water views, and just a fun course to play.
