I played in the Highlander at CCL for the 1st time with my little bro this weekend and it was a great event. I've played a lot of member guest but this one was 1st class. I know a lot of people don't love the format but I think it's a nice break from the 4-ball grind (Played the Evangeline 4-ball the weekend before).

Don't post on this board much but just wanted to say that I felt it was an awesome tournament and will continue to play it.

It's team match play. There are 6 teams / bracket and you play a round robin (9 hole matches) in your bracket. Each hole is worth a point. Team with most points comes out of the bracket and plays a 4 hole shootout against the other brackets.

That sounds like fun. Are the brackets seeded by hdcp?

Are you a member at OCC? This is exactly how our member/ guest is set up.

I heard the CCL M/g is fantastic but have never played it.

I am member at OCC. Our M/G will never be that great. Ours is $550 a team and CCL's is $800 a man.

Their budget is a little larger than OCC.

Agreed and it's a shame. A couple of us have talked to Greg about churching it up a bit like the other member guest that we play in.

Gifts and vendors are not even close. Of all the great restaurants in Lafayette none are set up on the course.

so basically increase the entry fee to provide a better gift package and include food / vendors on the course to provide a better social atmosphere and we are on the right track?

Like i said before, just trying to get learnt
