Everyone who hits that thing seems to love it. If my 913 ever dies, I'll either be getting a ping or a new titleist.

Just bring it to Baton Rouge for the weekend and there's a good chance you walk out with a G400.

you're still not entitled to relief under that rule as abnormal ground condition is defined as ground under repair or casual water

Play it down baws

A sand pit on the green it ground under repair. It doesn't have to be painted. GIR are usually painted for tournaments not daily play.

I agree with the idea, but the bottom line is not according to the rules. I prefer to make these judgement calls as a group but I know that if my normal group has a big money game going you're not taking relief there.

I’m not getting penalized, because the course a) allowed a sandpit to develop and b) was too lazy to remark it each time they cut the grass.

I would bet that the pic in question would be ruled GUR by the club’s pro. When in doubt play 2 balls and ask after the round.

Also, the sand pit could be determined as an immovable obstruction of the putting line.

Guess I’m glad I played it down. That never gets you in trouble. Just gets you a higher score.

It's not open, it's only for those who have qualified based on points thru the year

Played Webble Beach today and shot 78. Haven’t been there in awhile and it was about as bad as I remembered

Got my first October round in Sunday. Been busy at work recently...

Played Links on the Bayou in Alex with my dad.

Shot 84 with two birdies. Started par, par and finished birdie, par, birdie, par... it was the middle 12 holes that got me this time. Three doubles and a string of bogeys ruined me with a chip-in par mixed in on 7.

What’s a better track, Links on the Bayou or Oakwing?

I’m going to try and play in that area tomorrow

Links is in better condition by far. I stay at Oakwing during the hot summer months as it has some shade trees. However, in weather like we have had this week, assuming the wind isn't howling... Im going to Links all day.
