Need swing/alignment help.
I have developed a nice draw on my iron shots. A good strike will be up 0-5 yards left of target. However, on shots aimed to the right (say from left side of fairway), my brain goes crazy not being parallel of the fairway (this also goes for tee shots aimed right of tee box direction) and I end up duck hooking the shite out of it. Shots aimed left of parallel to the fairway are fine, but aiming right is an auto duck hook right now.

What am I doing? Swinging along the fairway line but positioned to the right? Any suggestions to fix?

Walk up and hit it, the more you think the worse it will be for you since it all sounds mental. After a couple good ones you should be good to go

feet pointing right...shoulders pointing left. If you close your feet, you need to close your shoulders.

Stand behind the ball
Raise your club in your hand in a direct line with your intended shot line.
Pick a spot 4" in front of the ball on that line.
Address the ball to hit it through that spot
Don't look at the target again once you've addressed the ball.

Line up like normal then pull your lead foot back a little bit. Will feel open but most likely be square. I fight the same tendency. Worst thing is you’ll hit a little pull cut which is better than a duck hook.

I like that. Never heard it before but makes sense.

I imagine the more you aim right, you're still thinking of the flag in the back of your mind so you're over-drawing it. Try to imagine both the start line and finish line and try to work the ball from the edge of the green towards the middle. If you under-draw, you're on the green and if you over-draw you're tight.

I don't think it has much to do with the alignment of the fairway, as very rarely does the edge of the fairway or tee box line up exactly on your target line.
