Ell_13 and I are going to Nashville for the lsu - Vanderbilt baseball series in late March...we want to play golf on Saturday.
What’s are some of the good public courses somewhat close to downtown or Vanderbilt campus?

Belle Meade or GC of Tenn, could also take a slight detour on the way up or down and play sweetens cove

We are flying so won’t have the luxury of catching a course on the way.

If you’re staying by the campus, Sylvan Park has a fun little 27 hole layout. Play 18 and walk next door to Neighbors Bar for some Q and cold beers. It’s less than a five minute drive from Vandy’s campus.

Harpeth Hills is another close public course nearby. It’s a nice course and they just changed to Bermuda greens last year. Sportsman’s grill is down the street with 2 for 1s till 6:00. Enjoy.

I was so glad when they opened. Back in the day, I’d have to use the laundr-o-mat in that strip mall. Drinking in a bar while waiting on my laundry to finish seemed much more dignified than grabbing a 24oz beer at the bodega next door (Jack’s Market, I think?) and drinking in the laundr-o-mat.
