The third round is scheduled for Sunday, however, BYU will play tomorrow and it will count as their third round. I am assuming this is due to religious reasons? I am not sure how this makes sense.

That is correct. BYU sports never play on Sunday.

On the women’s side, pretty big upset yesterday with Stanford losing, especially how poorly Rose Zhang played.

I get the decision here, can’t play due to religion, completely valid IMO.
I do wonder though, did they get lucky with weather? If they got to play on a calm sunny day and the rest of the field had to play in heavy wind and rain that would be a pretty huge advantage.

Also, they will get to play the day after the girls. I promise you the super will have the course playing firmer and faster by Sunday. It just doesn't seem fair to me.

Stroke play to get to the final 4 then match play. Same as the girls.

Stroke play gets you down to the final 8.
Also, top 15 teams and remaining individual players (not sure exactly how many) in contention play Monday. Other players are eliminated before the final day..

Wake’s got some really good players. If it wasn’t going to be Stanford, they made the most sense. Kuehn and Migliaccio have been studs and feel like they’ve been there forever, Lopez-Chicarra (Eugenio’s sister) seems to be good and then Lauren Walsh is a good player who played in the Curtis Cup a few years ago.

Looks like Florida is the only SEC team making the final 8. The other 5 teams are 10th to 14th with a couple holes to play
