LSU Golf Course?

Has anyone played this course recently? A few years ago it was always in reasonable shape for the price and was close to campus, which was nice.
Now, the price is comparable to Beaver and Beaver is in tremendous shape. Has LSU gotten better? I want to play it this weekend because it is close to where I need to be that morning, but it's hard to pay $35 for LSU when I know I can pay about that for Beaver Creek.

If it prices out some people that go out there, I think it's worth about that price. I played out there one Saturday morning a few months ago while I was in town, and it was miserable. Over 2.5 hours to play 9 because people won't let you play through, etc. We had an actual tee time and when we got to the box a couple minutes early there were like 4 groups sitting there waiting. I told the starter we had a tee time for x figuring those groups were there at the wrong time, and he just said well they're here so we'll get you off as fast as we can.

where is the course now? Still over by the dairy or are yall talking about the course down Nicholson ( U Club?)?

Not U Club. U Club is private and costs a little more than $35 to play and is in pretty good shape.
I'm talking about the one right off campus near walk ons.

Unless they went down on the price for some reason in the last month, Beaver is around $50 on the weekends. LSU is in fairly good shape right now, but it's still nowhere close to Beaver's conditions. You're pretty much going to pay for what you get.

I enjoy the course. It has its rough spots right now, but I think it’s playing well. I overheard today that they may be punching next week
