I need a gap wedge.

All I have in my bag is a regular wedge and a 58 and 60 degree sand wedge. I never use the 60 it’s just in there and the 58 just goes straight up and is a pain but I like it when chipping/pitching to an elevated green.
I am constantly in the 70-90 yard range and I either need to take something off with the wedge or try to get the 58 there. Both are inconsistent. I see a lot of folks like a 52. I am leaning towards that but just wanted to get your opinions. Thanks.

By regular I assuming you mean pitching wedge? I hit my 52 about 15-20 yards shorter than my pitching wedge if that helps you out.

Yes. That’s perfect.
Thinking 52 degree Cleveland CBX with a graphite shaft will do the trick. I can pick it up now at Dicks for about $100. My irons have graphite so I am thinking I would want it to feel the same as my pitching wedge.

Should aim for a 4 degree gap in your wedges, imo

I carry 4 wedges.
Pitching wedge. 45 degree TaylorMade M6
Gap wedge. 49 degree TaylorMade M6
54 degree Callaway Mack Daddy 4
58 degree Callaway Mack Daddy 5
There is about a 12-15 yard difference in distance between each club.
Go to callaway pre-owned.com. They are always having good deals on wedges.
The like new Clubs are usually brand new.
I also have 60 degree Titleist M7. I am trying to decide if to keep it or the 58 degree

Thanks.
I sort of want to get it today/tomorrow for my birthday round on Tuesday so looking at what Dicks has. I had one lined up then their fricking site went down and had been down for a couple of hours.

See what the loft of your PW is and work back from there. If it is 46° I would get a 50° gap wedge and add a 54° wedge as well and keep the 58° in the bag. If you keep the 60° in the bag go with a 56° and 52° gap wedge as long as your PW is 48°. Try to gap your wedges evenly.

I carry 5 wedges because of the jacked up lofts on my Apex irons. PW 43, AW 48, and a set of 52/56/60 Mack Daddy 4s.
I hit PW at 140, AW at 125, 52 at 110, 56 at about 85, and the 60 never sees a full swing

I only carry 3 wedges. 46, 54, 60. The rest of my bag (sans putter) is D, 3w, 3h, 3i - 9i. I don’t want to pull the 3i because I use it a ton on the tee. Fairway finder for me.

Same here. Titleist PW 43
Carry 4 wedges. Vokey SM7 48, 52, 56, 60
the 60 is the highest bounce they make and I’m a sweeper/small divot guy. Only time it comes out is in the thick stuff or sitting on fluffy sand. I like it when I need it but feel it’s a waste because I rarely use it. Not much fluffy sand in our shite courses around here lol.

2 best clubs in the bag are a Vokey SM7 48 & 52. I’m deadly with both and terrible with my PW. The SM8s are out. Guessing the 7s should be taking a price cut soon if they haven’t already
