Has anyone played Hickory Hills? Is it a nice course? I've played most of the courses along the gulf coast, but haven't been here....

Haven't played it in quite a while but the most of the greens complexes are elevated and they tend to be on the grainy side. The fairways were always their strong point. The range is very short and they don't allow you to hit anything more than a long iron. Fair course with a few tough par 3's.

Played it years ago with my dad, back when it was Mississippi National. Okay, but nothing to write home about. Residential golf course lined with houses and "villas" (townhouses/ apartments).
Many other better courses have come into play on the coast since then, linked to casinos and such.
