What travel case do you guys use? Is the hard case or soft case better? Looking on Amazon and there are so many, any suggestions?

TIA

Samsonite

It's a little pricey, but it is well made and will last. I bought a cheap one the first time around and it didn't last one trip. Handle broke and latch broke.

Mine is a soft bag with a hard top

It was a name brand from academy but can't remember the exact brand.

I had a hard case but it was a struggle to fit my bag into it and it was heavier.

Caddy Daddy on Amazon

Just used this for the first time and it was great. I made sure to get a backbone for it as well.

I would get something cheap and soft. Then, purchase a hard tube, either cardboard or PVC, and put all removable wood/hybrid shafts in that tube. If you want to take it to another level, purchase a club glove stiff arm.

Stiff Arm

This + a towel or two wrapped around the club heads and filling any gaps. Some people also mentioned removing the driver head since that is the most vulnerable piece.

Ya the cheapest one is going to run you $249 and it's very small. The medium one is $299. The bag is very unimpressive IMHO. I really don't get the love Club Glove bags. The only time I've had a club break during transit, it was in a club glove bag.

Really nice bag, but also hella expensive! Is CaddyDaddy overall a nice brand? What are the positives and negatives to a hard case versus a soft one?

What? I have a cart bag and it fits fine. If anything, I'd rather it be more snug.

I doubt it had anything to do with the bag other than it being a soft case.

With a hard case you just have to watch with rental cars. Me and a buddy went on a golf trip and he had a hard case. I rented a mid-size car since it was just 2 of us. His hard case would only fit in the back seat with window rolled down with part of it sticking out.

The Last Bag Collegiate is the cheapest one, and it's pretty small. They say, "perfectly sized for most stand bags or carry bags" on the website.. You probably have the medium version, AKA the Last Bag Large. Club Glove changed the names about a year ago. The Last Bag Collegiate used to be called the Burst Proof.

That's correct. I was just trying to get a point across that there isn't much difference between a $300 bag and a $75 bag.

I have a large hard case. It is heavy when rolling it through the airport. But it is sturdy and have never had a problem with it. I've traveled with it at least 15 times. Will get the name of it when I get home.

I use LINK

Have flown probably 30 times with it and never had any issues. I just wrap the head of my driver/woods with a towel.
