Any recommendations? Headed down next weekend on a quick getaway to get out of this slop. We fly in super early Saturday and have time for a round or two Saturday, Sunday is booked at Calusa Pines.

Tiberon Gold or Black?
Naples National?
TPC Treviso Bay?
GC of the Everglades?

We fly into Ft Lauderdale and will be traveling between there and Naples. Food and drink recs welcome as well.

Do the pros play at any of those? If so they suck

I doubt it these aren’t tour quality courses, these are the BREC of Naples.

I have a place in Treviso Bay--if you can get on you should.

Plenty of great courses in Naples, but all are pricey at the moment because it's busy season.

ETA: all the ones you listed are good options

Bunch of great restaurants on 5th St in downtown Naples--I really like Molto (itlaian)

The Naples Grande Golf Club is nice. We played as guests of the Naples Grande Resort.

Definitely Naples National. 2nd toughest private course to get on in Naples. If you were able to get on at Calusa Pines, you have great connections. Calusa is the toughest to get on.

Hobnob, Ocean Prime, and Truluck's are all downtown. All are nice. Good place to watch March Madness near downtown would be Tavern on the Bay. Lots of TV's. Watch out for all the old Midwesterners.

Thanks for the info! We are still debating Saturday golf, but thanks for the food and drink recs, I’m sure we will Uber around Saturday night but try to stay in half decent shape so Calusa can kick our arse Sunday

Have fun. Calusa should be unbelievable. Since it is in season, all courses should be in great shape right now. Courses don’t start punching greens until usually June.

I was told Calusa was rolling 14-14.5, where do you play? Your location shows Naples, any hidden gems?

Wow. 14-15? Ha. Never played Calusa. Just heard it is unbelievable. Please post a report after you play it.

Haven’t played much in the last few years due to family getting older. We used to play all over SW Florida when rates drop in the summer. Really like Hammock Bay, TPC Treviso Bay, and Twin Eagles. Nice courses everywhere.

After a flight delay and getting in bed at 230am I’ll load some pics and post a review here later on, to say Calusa was unbelievable is an understatement.

Did you play Tiburon?

It’s been a long time, but I remember it being good and the Gold Course in particular being really tough.

Hammock Bay @ Marco Island Members Course, the JW Marriott at Marco Island south of Naples, great course and conditions, greens rolling 11 and true as can be, nice warmup out of the slop.

Love Hammock Bay. They have some great Par 3s. Especially 2, 8, and 11. Glad you had fun there. Hurricane Irma took down a lot of trees at that course.

Please post some pics of Calusa when you have time.

Calusa Pines Golf Club, currently ranked 72 in the US and 83 in the world. Pics do this place no justice with what they have done with the property, not a blade of grass out of place and the firmest, fastest, yet most true greens I’ve ever had the pleasure of putting on. The course is wide open off of the tee but is proclaimed by many pros that are members there that this golf course is the toughest course in the world inside of 150, I’d tend to agree, enjoy the pics.

world of beer for your beer

gulf coast town center, fgcu sorority chicks

ps: is there a crawfish scramble this year? i think net and i can take it this time

there wasn’t any cart girls or women there that I remember, it’s a golf club, no tennis, no pool, no golf carts, walking with caddy only and a nice “snack shack” you pass 4 times for drinks and food.
