Anyone used to play out there a bunch? Shot the best round of my life there (80). It was kinda shitty toward the end, but I miss that place.

I was a member there in mid to late 90s while in HS. Greens were good and you had to hit it straight. Really a fun track except for about 3-4 boring par 4s. There were these 2 smoking hot lifeguards we used to flirt with a lot and then one of them died in a car crash on the interstate. LSU player Phil ? played out there and it was fun to play with him occasionally...nice guy.

Not a bunch but a few times. Miss a couple of the old courses around BR.

Yeah used to like playing out there. Tight in places with good green speed

The one I miss is Briarwood.

Grew up living in that neighborhood. My brother and I used to shag balls from the water hazards, clean them up, and sell them back to golfers. Good memory, and so long ago. 88-89 maybe.

And the giant golf ball at the range just down the street.

Had a lot of really good players as members.

Briarwood and Shenandoah had the narrowest fairways I’ve ever seen.

That place was one of a kind! My favorite club to ever be associated with and it has 0 to do with the course itself. The 19th hole was one of a kind. Filled with some major characters!

It was a great place for tournaments. Won a new golf bag on closest to the hole on 17.

Belonged in the 80's. My son and I played there often. I can't remember the Hole number of the one that had the long span of water and was rated as one of the hardest part 4's in BR as I recall, do you remember the hole?

Thank you, I really enjoyed that hole. I would lay up to the water from the T and as my best memory recalls it was I think 127 yds or so to the green, water mostly to the green, as I recall.
What do you remember?

Yeah you could lay up or you could try to cut a driver that would stay right of the pond. But you had to be precise because there was a small pond in the right trees.
Random note.... I once saw Buddy Songy hit a 1 iron from his knees in the member guest on that hole. Ha

My sister and her husband were members there back in the late 80's. Played there several times when I was down there for a game or something else.
