Very cool drone video shot by Golf Digest showing every hole at Pine Valley. This is the first video of the entire course released in almost 60 years. It really is an incredible design. Every hole is awesome and would be the best hole on most courses. Looks very difficult. If anyone has been lucky enough to play here or can share any insight, that would be awesome.

GOAT course IMO.

I’ve got a friend that’s played it.

I know when you get to play a place like that, your score is secondary to the experience. But how difficult was it? It looks impossible.

For years and years and years they would put your name in the clubhouse if you broke 80 on your first trip around the place. That list wasn't very long and was mostly tour players. Time shave changed a little recently with the golf ball and I don't think that they still have that tradition but it's very very difficult - like the hardest course in the country difficult.

It sure looks like it but damn that place is fine. I thought it was pretty interesting that they don't have rakes on the course.

I'm playing to around a 15 right now and I'm pretty sure I wouldn't break 100. I'd love to find out though.

Lived outside Philly for 3 1/2 years, had a client who was a member, and a client who was a member at Merion. Luckily played both, had lunch as well

The story about Jack N, wife sitting in their car because women were not allowed in the clubhouse is true

I am a witness...

That’s 2 nice rounds, Merion looks awesome, I’d rather play PV over Augusta, my dad was a course Marshall at the Masters from 97-01 and has had the pleasure of playing it in May after each year. It’s a toss up but I’d pick PV over AN, friend just got back from a Baltusrol round this past fall and wasn’t that impressed design wise but enjoyed the experience I guess you could say. I’m more about course design than prestige I guess, with that said I can see why PV is #1.

I see why there's no tourneys there. Aint no room for spectators. I see why Pinehurst No. 2 went with the sand rough down most fairways. Got the idea from this place. I'm thinking 55/55 110. And I'm, a 10 hcdp, from the tips.
