Ever been hit with a golf ball?

I have been hit by an errant drive.

Screaming one hopper to the chest.

I thought a sniper had blew a hole through me.

It burned like a sob but it's hilarious in hindsight.

A friend of mine shanked a wedge and hit me in the back. I made him buy me a couple of beers after the round to ease the pain.

A guy hit into us at Howell Park (R.I.P) and smoked the back of my leg while I was standing on the green. Didnt hurt too bad. I think I caught it on the second or third hop. Guy claimed he didnt think he would reach us from 170.

Heard a really sad story about a Marshal who got killed by a tee shot from his son. I would never play again.

I've hit my ankle a few times with my putter. I was lucky to avoid a hard cast.

I got hit a month ago. A guy in our group answered a work call. We hit up to the green. I was marking my ball and looking at a birdie putt. The guy. Thought I had looked back at him. He hit a wedge thin. He yelled fire so I looked up, it hit me in the tit and bounced to about 10 feet. It would've domed me if he didn't yell. I missed my putt but he made his. Thats frickin teamwork.

He has since bought me multiple beers

I had one that got hit from another fairway slice into my golf cart and ricochet into the back of my leg. Shocked me more than anything.

My brother, on the other hand, took one off the dome. He was standing to the side of the tee box and looking away and the guy hit it straight sideways. Hit him in the back of the head, knocked him out for a few minutes, and he had to be taken to the emergency room to get stitches.

Twice. Once walking down 9th fairway, 6th fairway runs parallel to it. Guy duck hooks one and I hear him yell, I hear it hit just in front of me and I managed to get me hand in front of my face and caught it or it would have hit me in the head. I went down more from shock than it hurting. Guy thought he'd killed me, but the ground took a lot of the sting out of it. No problem, just one of those things.

2nd one though was very different. I was playing a practice round at Haleyville CC. Walking up the 7th fairway some idiot drove from the clubhouse to the 7th tee and started from there. Hit me dead square in the back from 220 or so from the tee. I bent down, picked up the ball and kept walking. Moron pulls up and asks if I picked up the ball, I said yes and if he was man enough to take it back he could have it.

I was really hoping he'd try. He didn't.

Last time was in the right ear. Outer ear was black for a week. Thought I'd have to have it removed, but it healed. Hurt like a sonofabitch.

I hit a guy in the group I was playing with at a tournament in June.

I hooked it off the tee and I was just gonna lay up back into the fairway. Guy walks into the fairway to get his distance as I'm addressing my ball. I saw him but didn't think he'd be in my way. I laid up with a 9 iron and it one hopped and hit him square in the back. My partner and I both yelled fore but he never moved. I felt terrible but he was fine and was really nice about it, even apologized to me. I hit my next shot on the green and saved par. Worst feeling par I've ever had.
