Driving Iron Shaft

I bought a Titleist 718 T-MB 2 iron a while back because I was struggling with my driver and wanted something with some distance that would help me hit some more fairways. I see a lot of people with different shafts on these irons instead of stock. I hit it decently but still struggle with inconsistency. Should I look at getting a different shaft put in there?

You should look at getting fitted for the right shaft in your driver.

I can't help too much on which shaft to get, but I can tell you that I have seen a lot of people putting graphite hybrid shafts in them. Everyone that I have seen do it says "it is almost like cheating".
How long ago is "a while back"? I feel like these just really started getting in stores pretty recently.

OP, go test the Ping G400 driver.
I have to try really hard to miss hit this thing, its insane. Driver was the weakest part of my game till snagging it.
As for your original question, I'd suggest a lighter graphite for hy or fw. longer the shaft, the more club head speed, the further it goes (in theory) but a little harder to control.

Just a little info here... The T-MB heads have a .355T hosel diameter, but most graphite hybrid shafts are .370. You would either have to bore out the head and make it .370, or sand down the shaft to make it .355 (do not recommend). Or you can put a .355 graphite iron shaft in it like a UST Recoil or Aerotech Steelfiber.

Back in June or so. I play on the Golfweek Am Tour here in Texas, and I lost 2 tournaments in a row because of OB tee shots. Decided to sacrifice a bit of distance to keep the ball in play.
