Does Fenwood Hills in Zachary still have great greens?
This place was always known for great greens, been years since I hit it.

How is she looking right now?

I used to love playing here for some reason.

Best in the area. For a small club the staff does a great job taking care of it. Course is in great shape. And there’s a regular game there weds 3:00, Fri 1:00, sat 10:00, sun 1:00 as well as a Thursday night 9 hole scramble at 5:00

Played in our 3 man scramble this weekend. They are top notch - fast. Tip for all new players: don't make the mistake of being too long into the green on any hole.

they got a 10 AM game on Sat?

I might need to start rolling in that.

With the shite greens around the area I might start playing here for a little bit, I love that little track.

I think there are some early games on Sunday to for the heathens among us. I think there are like 3 games going on at once and somehow you can be in all of them or just one or two.

We should definitely hit but I usually don't play on Saturday unless its late. I rarely play in the games because of the time and work. I usually play on Wednesdays at 9:30 AM, Friday after lunch or Sunday late (4ish).

I haven’t played there in over 10 years. Always forget about it. It’s open to public I assume?

How do I get in a game? Just show up and say “hey I wanna hop in the games?”

Yes it is public. I would call the club and speak to Tonya and ask her the specifics on getting in the games. For instance, the Thursday night scramble you have to get there about :30 before or call in ahead to let them know you are in. I think most others you can just show up and roll but I would check with her first. I'm not much help here as I rarely play in the games. Like less than once a year.

We got some of the top Ams in the area playing here a fair amount. Lots of action. Our tournaments are always full with few exceptions and our MGA really does an awesome job of putting them on. I play in 4 or 5 of the MGA events a year and wish they had more tournaments in the formats that I like to play in.

around $100 for family includes pool, tennis, and golf. there's also a monthly unlimited cart fee or you can pay the rental fee.

show up a little early and sign the sheet. usually no prob finding a group or bring your own. loosely handicap based best ball type format. on a given day youll have handis from +4 to -20 playing in it. $10 total $5 for big team and $5 for scats....also do a $1 swing bet if you want in.

My dad used to be the club president there in the 90s and none of the people that worked there had any experience with greenskeeping, but the greens were always in great shape. They even had an LSU AG professor come out there one time to test the soil because it was such an anomaly that the greens were so good and they had no idea what they were doing.
