My current clubs are about 13 years old so I'm in the market for some new ones, is it safe to say that any of the Golf Digest "Top 100 fitters" is going to be a good bet to do a good job? There are 7 of them all within easy driving distance so curious what I should look at in determining which one to go to?

I'm in Houston so anyone in the area that's been fitted have any recommendations?

Also side question next year I'm going to take a couple of lessons, so one would think my swing would change at least some. What are thoughts on getting fit for clubs but then taking lessons and changing your swing? Should I just wait until after the lessons to get the new clubs?

If you’re talking irons, they can be bent for lie angle if your swing changes. I’m doing the same thing.

Fairway woods and hybrids don’t get adjusted for lie angle, so if your swing speed, or torque changes, you’ll have to change shafts.

Impact Precision seconded. Major and the other guy know their stuff.

Trevor is the owner, great guy.

If you don't want to spend the bucks, Mike over at Impact Golf on Dairy Ashford has a good eye for fitting, but he doesn't have the technology.

Several Senior Tour players go to Mike along with quite a few mini tour guys, great club builder and great guy as well.

With 4 recommendations all to the same place guess this is the place to go.
