Carter
Anybody play it the last couple weeks? What’s the conditions like? Played in April and it wasn’t good. Anyone got a recent update?

Played it last 2 weeks in a row. Great shape. Wet Tuesday like every where else. Should be fine this weekend

re: Carter
I've played carter twice in the last month. Was in great shape both times. If I'm being a-hole golf guy the greens were a little sandy but they were in great condition.

They swapped the 9s which was a little weird. If you on the fence about playing Carter, dont be

Yeah this threw me for a loop too. The Marshall's explanation that they did it for people wanting to start on the back 9 was equally perplexing. Played last weekend course was in great shape, we enjoyed the hell out of it. Would recommend

re: Carter
They told me it was because they wanted people stopping at the clubhouse at the turn.

I do think its good to not have drivable par4 as first hole. Seems to normally slow up play before it starts

I always thought it would make more sense for the back to be the front and vice versa. I enjoyed playing there, hole 4 is one of my favorite par 5 I’ve played and hole 14 is a really good driveable par 4

re: Carter
1 isn't driveable for the vast majority of golfers. The ones that it is driveable for typically play the tips, which makes it undriveable. I don't think that is slowing up play, at all.

But I'm also anti flipping 9s for a ton of reasons out there.

I agree with you it’s not. But a lot think it is for them. Every time I play there guys wait for green to clear. It’s easy 4 iron wedge for me.

I don’t think it’s driveable either, just put it on the fw and your golden there.

Makes sense since 9 no where near clubhouse.
