Best golf resorts within driving distance
Looking for recommendations for golf resorts that are within 4 hour driving distance. I got a group of 8 guys wanting to go play a few rounds one weekend during the LSU bye week Nov 2. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Capitol Hill in Prattville, Mossy Oak/Old waverly, Biloxi has a variety of good courses and casino options but isn’t really a golf resort, I struggle to come up with any inside of 4 hours

I don't know about Golf Resorts, but you can go down Ft. Morgan Road near Gulf Shores and play Peninsula, Kiva Dune, and Gulf Shores Country Club. That's close to 4 hours and you can probably get a steal on a hotel/condo/beach house during the fall.

There are also some other good golf courses in Gulf Shores that you could branch out and play depending on how long you want to stay.

You could do the Mossy Oak/ Old Waverly deal in Mississippi.

Biloxi, MS has a few nice courses and casinos.

Dancing Rabbit.

Lake Charles has some casino courses.

Birmingham has a lot of nice golf courses, I hear. Could make a decent trip out of that, although that is more than 4 hours.

Stay at the Beau, play Fallen Oak and The Grand Bear (or Preserve)

I’d do the Old Waverly/Mossy Oak trip since they are 5 minutes apart, could also play one Dancing Rabbit course on the way and the other on the way back as DR is about 1.5 hours south of MO/OW. Biloxi would also be good playing Fallen Oak, Preserve, and Grand Bear.

Lake Charles is good for night life, courses don't stack up to others mentioned. Not terrible.
Biloxi has both night life and quality course, premium price if Fallen Oak is included.
Dancing Rabbit has 2 good courses (underrated IMO) and Casino but it is a strange place.
Cambrian Ridge is a great track in Greenville, quiet and not crowded but that is all they have. Haven't played Capital Hill. Can't go wrong with RTJ. Grand National is great.

You can play DR for cheap right now if you place a bet—look on their website for details

Capitol Hill in Prattville, AL is worth the drive. 3 completely different courses, great accommodations and good food.

All of this. Fallen Oak, IMO, is the best course heading east off 10 until you get to Sawgrass.

Service is lacking. Courses are legit. Seems pricing is back to reasonable.

If you know someone who can get you on, Squire Creek is real nice.

Koasati Pines in Kinder is nice with a casino.

This. I think this is one of the nicest courses in our state. I’d go here in a heartbeat.

That said, Ross Bridge in Hoover is pretty awesome if you want to take a road trip. Awesome accommodations and just a beautiful place.

It's in a different nation. The Choctaws rule themselves and sometimes they don't go out of their way to provide great service to their guests, to be nice about it. Sometimes the service is outstanding. It just depends on whether the Chief is paying attention or not. Not even kidding

Dancing Rabbit has 2 outstanding golf courses designed by Tom Fazio and Jerry Pate. The golf courses are in immaculate condition and fall is a great time to play. The off season green fees start on November 1st and the Sports Book has a Bet & Play promotion where you can get a $30 green fee with a $50 min bet. I would recommend it for your group on the open weekend and is a good spot for the Vandy, MSU, OM and Alabama games too!!!
