WIDE open layout. Forgiving and fun. Really good shape, but not sure worth the money. I guess the higher green fees keeps the riff-raff out.

The fact that you have to go across the street and hit off of mats on concrete (most of them with holes in them) is a complete disgrace. Course seems to get very little play.

agree with all of this. i mean the course looks well manicured, but it looks just like the other course but nicer. they really should spruce up the north course a bit. cut it well and charge a bit more.

Played it once dry and once wet with the rough up. A whole lot tougher on the latter round.

Back up a set of tees or two. The par 3s are no joke.

I'm sure that it'll play more difficult from the back tees but I've played from the blues and I've done the blue/white combo and both are easier than any course I've played. I've enjoyed it and will play it again but it's not challenging at all. Very few greens have any undulation and you suffer almost no penalty for missing fairways.

But the few times I've played it, the rough was short, so maybe that has changed.

Yea the rough is the biggest defense the course has. When they have it up and you’re playing from the back couple of tees it’s much much tougher. I’ve played it a good bit now, and if the rough is cut you can blow it all over the course. If it’s not cut down though you’ll find yourself in trouble.

Just found out that they got rid of their super twilight rate for the afternoon after work players. Cheapest you can play it is $55. Both TPC & English Turn are now alot cheaper than Bayou Oaks in the afternoon.

frick City Park.
