Don’t know the boards thoughts on practice balls, I was reading up on them and looks like there is no difference other than the word practice stamped on them. I have been playing with Noodle long and soft but when I play with the ProV1s I have I feel like I play better, might be a mental thing. But even if it’s a mental thing, might be worth $28 a dozen. Is anyone going to give me crap for playing a practice out on the course?

They only have cosmetic blemishes. Look at lost golf balls or a similar website. They are always running sales, you can get ProVs for 19.99/dozen.

I want to try the DT Truesoft, we can get them through our company store for $18 a dozen. Get proV1 for $37 a dozen which is nice. But I’m not good enough to justify spending over $20 for a dozen at this time.

I’m playing some Bridgestone Tour B practice balls. I’ve found no difference in performance. For tournaments, I’ll play the regular ball, but for regular rounds, he’ll yes I’m playing them.

I've been playing Vice balls. If you are OK slumming it to Practice balls for cost reasons, check out Vice.

I tried to order some of those about a year ago and their Apple Pay wasn’t working. I’ve heard good things about them.

I like using the Nstone practice ball bc that’s what I use in tournaments. I like to know how the ball will react off the wedge.

My buddy gave me a sleeve the other day of the vice pros. I liked them and if you buy more than a couple dozen it’s well worth it.
I played a practice box of the snells over the course of a couple rounds. I liked the MTB reds. I’m contemplating on which one to go with. Snell has some new models coming out in a couple of days, so I’m waiting to see.

FWIW I really enjoy the Calloway chrome soft. Pick the older version up for $30 at watts usually.
I’d play the ProV1 b/c the our company sells them... but frick them if they think I’m payjng retail for a ball that I get as a “promotional” item.

I got 3 doz of the 2019 ProV1s in my shop. I had a credit to the pro shop at Wetlands and that’s all they had. BTW: Wetlands charges by the sleeve even if you buy a dozen. It came out to $167 for 3 dozen

We have practice ProV1s for our range.

I find them in hazards on the course so there are some people playing these.

Switched to Snells and about 15 rounds in. Really like this ball.

Ends up being $2 ball when you buy in bulk.

They announce the new balls tomorrow.

Practice balls are exactly like tour quality balls except they have practice printed on them. I’ve had 3 different equipment reps tell me this over the years.
They are made for range use at tournaments and have no blemishes or other defects. Pros and tournament amateurs would not use them if they did.
Those for sale are overruns and are perfectly fine for course use.
