Is academy getting rid of their golf section? I’ve been to 3 different academy’s the last few months and it seems the golf section is getting smaller and smaller each time I go

No, but they are trimming down. You will still be able to get balls, tees, and accessories along with limited apparel.

I love going in to Academy and see the Under Armour "sale" signs in the golf section only to realize the shirt is still $55.

Sometimes the same shirts are over in the normal clothing sections by the tennis or athletic wear for cheaper. I've never understood why golf clothes are so expensive. $65 for shorts and $50-$70 for a shirt. Same type of clothing can be found in the other sections for much cheaper.

I go to the Academy by work maybe once a week to look for deals. Almost every time I go, there are sale signs in the golf section but the shirts as you mentioned are still listed as $50-70. But there is a price scanner on the wall in the golf section and I always scan everything there just to double check prices. I have bought maybe 10 shirts in the last year from there because they scanned drastically cheaper than what was listed on the tag or sale price on the rack. I'm talking like $15-25 for UA, Nike, or Adidas golf shirts.

Plus they have much more pocket space for extra cargo.
