I have a pretty good class this year. Missed a few needs at MLB but I will make some moves and fill that spot with OLB if I need to do that. I have a RB coming in who may be a 95 or better on speed. May give my all american a run for his money.
I don't know how everyone else does it but I have a few positions that I have a prescript for. I will not recruit a CB under 6' unless he is a 5 * and I am on top of his list. My corners have to have a high tackling rating. I just signed a 3* CB who will be an AA before he leaves. I was on him from day one passing on a few others to get him. I don't know why he is so low rated. 6'3" with good speed and tackling and awareness. My WR must be over 6' also 6'2" pr better is ideal.
I dont always go for the star ratings. I have had many 4* come in and start over 5* right away, especially at WR. I don't red shirt much and try to give players some playing time in mop up duty. It seems to increase their rating a little faster the next year. I had a 99 D rating this year and have never signed the top class or more than 3 blue chippers in one year. I will be down a bit this year on D but only maybe to 94 or better . My O may be up from 90 to a 94 so I will be pretty balanced. Can't wait to see what next year brings. Should be another good one.

Maybe it is Penn State's year this year
OK, I'm not really angry anymore. My offense next year should be sick. My fast QB comes back as a junior, my fast RB is back, I think I lost a senior WR but that's no big deal. Signing in some speed out there. So maybe next year will be a good one.
As far as Art's recruiting tactics. Good Lord, I do not put anywhere near that much thought into it. I look for speed, and that's it.

Cene, I mean to tell you good game. I really don't have the athletes yet to keep up with alot of you guys.
BTW I was really bitter at how horrible I played.

yeah i know what you mean, but i rather get my arse handed to me then lose by a fg. My defense was swiss cheese earlier this year but they've managed to play well as of late and they always show up for the bowl games.
i only recruit what i need, i stopped over loading every position and just starting capitalizing on what i need and what i want so to speak. I recruit decent but can't get signees early.

I finally got the shipping label and shipped my xbox yesterday!
Wish I would have made it back for recruiting that is one of my favorite parts of the season. I wish that at a minimum I could fill my recruiting target list. As of 2 seasons ago a new rule was instituted at UF. WR's must possess at least a 95 spd to have a shot at seeing the field. Wideouts with a 94 spd will be evaluated closely...
My team is stupid fast, or they were the last time I saw them.

In general, what would you say about the following regarding speed ratings for recruits.
A+ = 97+
A = 93-96
A- = 90-92
B+ = 87-89
B = 84-86
I don't understand why we can't just get player number ratings rather than A's and B's and such.

It gives you 40 times and the A, B, C ratings

I do put a lot of thought into recruiting. That ND team was a 80 team when I got them now they are in the 90's in all categories with a NC under their belt.

Where are the 40 times at? I guess I've never looked that hard at it.

You only see 40 times while recruiting.

Any reason we haven't advanced?
Posted on 4/19/09 at 1:09 pm to seawolf06
Ok, waiting until Saturday evening to advance and then again 6 hours later kinda sucks, but I'm just ready to get the season started.
Posted on 4/19/09 at 5:21 pm to seawolf06
Does anyone have any idea what the advance schedule is?
Posted on 4/19/09 at 5:30 pm to 9Fiddy
He didn't say anything on xbl past the advance last night.

Just got an email. My xbox has been repaired, and ships out tomorrow. Hopefully I will get it back by Tuesday or Wednesday at the latest.

Awesome. Your team needs your help in the SEC league. You should be back in time to do the offseason recruiting.

Hopefully I can still pull in some top talent. One more top 5 class and I think I might have something.
