Art Vandelay, do you want to try and play tomorrow evening or Tuesday evening? Tuesday would be better for me but I can accommodate either.

whatever is good for you, I am available after 5pm but I try to be in bed for 10 so I wouldn't want to start a game after 9.

Let's aim for Tuesday around 6:30. I have to work late today and won't be home until 6 or 7.

Mike game over but I just found out I cheese because I use LB pass rush sub when he was in a pass situation and got 2 whole sacks by doing that.

Funny he wasn't complaining when he was ripping ten yard runs against the formation.

Three dynasties I am in on this web site, two in their second year and hundreds of online games and that was the first time someone complained about cheesing.

It is cheese and you know it. Not one college/university/NFL team for that uses LB versus an o-line. It is exploiting the horrible ai in the game. One of the sacks stopped one of my drives in the first half. It was the first time you used it. I have never been in a league in which that formation is allowed. If that is allowed I will gladly retire. Doesn't bother me a bit.

It wasn't my running back at DE.

No I have never seen a LB pass rush from the end So I switch to a 3-3 or 3-4 and press my OLB's and blitz. Tell me the difference. God forbid I stop a drive with a sack. Sad thing is I rarely blitz and most of hte game only brought 3 pass rushers. An average player would have ate me up with the run, especially with Joe McKnight. How about put a TE on that side to help blocking. You made no adjustments. Hell Illinois destroyed me early in the season doing the exact thing. You got away from the run early and I put in my speed rush. A formation that is in the game. Never changed a LB to DE in my roster. I might in the off season though.

Your LB's were not pressed out. You were in the quarters or 3-2-6 and had Riley and Sheppard as your two DE's. Then you would out rush my Right Tackle to get to Corp.

you made NO adjustments, TE to block, running back to block, draws, runs to the side of the LB at DE, screens. I was giving you the run the whole game.

Look at my roster, no LB's at DE. Thus fail to see the problem.

I did, I ran the ball very effectively, look at the stats. When I was in a passing situation is when it happened. I am not going to run the ball as often in the late 3rd and 4th qtrs down 2 scores.

Ok, ok, ok. Gentleman, please. I checked, and as I thought, Art has no LB's at DE. I can vouch for him (as I've played him more than anyone else in the league), that he is a good guy and not a cheeser.

kballa, I know it sucks to lose, but I have to side with Art here. We have had the same rules two years running, and he's never broken them before, unlike that cheater ez that I had to reprimand last season. lol. (j/j ez).

I do want you to stay in the league however, as I think that your experience will be an isolated one.

In other news, I am working on updating the front page, and will advance to players leaving later tonight, once I have gotten all of the pertinent dynasty historical info off of the game.

Mark

Demps just got put on the other side of the ball.

kballa - fwiw Art was bringing pressure from freaking everywhere when we played. Somehow every time I called a screen or draw he sniffed it out. It's frustrating, but you have to make the right call at the right time to beat it. I was on my arse all day too, but I wouldn't call that cheesing. He was just better than me on the day.

One of the things we seek to do in this league and others is to isolate ourselves from cheesing and the exploitation of unfair advantages. Everyone looks to keep things competitive, and fair. I personally don't see anything wrong with Art's gameplan, and I hope it's not something that would make you quit.

One thing I learned from playing Florida enough online is that you have to pressure Tebow. If not he will eat you alive.

Cheese or not with the LB pass rush, USC got away from running the ball which he did well on his first drive and scored easily. I scored on a fourth down conversion in which he was in a punt safe D and had plenty of time to call a TO. I was in no mans land and had to go for it. Down 14-7 with a little over a minute in the first half he decided he was going to try a few quick passes and get the quick score before half and I knew it was coming and I was ready. He could have ran the ball a few time and used TO's and at least got a FG and he could have had the ball back in the 3rd. Now it's 21-7 in the 3rd and I have him in a pass situation and I put my LB pass rush and play a dime cover 2 zone and just try to keep everything in front of me and get to the QB with a 4 man rush. A simple adjustment could have been made by putting a TE the side of the rush or leaving a RB in to block.

I thought it was a pretty good game but then I get texts during the game accusing me of cheating and that he was wasting his time because I was cheating.

Don't know why I wasted almost 3 hours on Jai Eugene to come back. I got a few good returning corners.

I didn't give recruiting a thought when picking a team.

I am willing to bet you didn't waste time recruiting. You had a good season and should have a decent class. Better get after it now.
I rather a team I need to build. I was ND last year and took them to a NC but it took me 3-4 years. The only reason I took LSU is because nobody ever stayed with them last year. Could not stand to see them fall apart. They are always for sale if I can get a dedicated owner who will stay with them for more than a couple of games. But for now I will continue to make them better each year.
