I split Link and Young Link. I throw in Ryu and Ganondorf from time to time.

Mewtwo needs the nerf.

I’m almost convinced Nintendo conspired with Nairo when creating World of Light. Every Zero Suit Samus I’ve played is a fricking nightmare.

I know it's all cheese, but I'm kind of hooked on the spirit board and WoL.

Is it just me or is the online part of the game a lagging mess?

Also, I love requesting 1v1 fights and being put in 1v3 fights over and over. That’s garbage.

So I was having trouble with Aces, and Legends were a no go....then it starts raining in. Play a healthy dose of both the Adventure mode and the Spirit Board. You just have to get lucky on good spirits. There are some very good spirits that are enhanceable....even Novice Spirits.

And you want to immediately go for the ones that shut down the most common detractors . -Lava Floors, Poison Fog, Etc.

Since it's purely random, there is no guide. But once you get some solid Aces, you should be able to start putting together a team and take on Legends and it gets easier from there.

Also, don't forget about Summons. If you've started to go through Spirits you should have a summon or two. Geno was my first Legend, as a summon. I now have like 15 Legends. You can get M. Bison through the World Tour in the Lake of the Adventure. He was like my 3rd or 4th.

Most important bonuses from my play time:
Stamina Bonus
Physical or Sword Attack Damage
Easier Dodging
Jump
Environment nullifiers
Speed and Impact Run
Start with Beam Sword or Killer Edge - Allows you to cheese some fights

Got through Galeem and headed to Darkhon. The music in this game is insane. I can’t believe there are still fanboys that defend Brawl’s soundtrack over this one. This track can’t be beat. I mean maybe thematically, but as far as the overall body of work....hell the frick no.

100%-ing this bitch is so hard. Even with top level spirits there are insane matches like the giant donkey Kong and princess peach on that god forsaken retro Mario level with the ladders. Only passed it cause peach fricked up using her parasol.

In my opinion, there’s no question Marth is the best one to take on World of Light. He can kill quick, is really fast and won’t get juggled by bigger foes. Like, I’m not kidding when I say that there are some AIs in WoL that have a difficulty level FAR higher than 9. Even disregarding power discrepancy. They’re just programmed to be more responsive and quicker to your movements and make less stupid mistakes a usual AI would. Makes the timed multiple character levels frustrating as hell.

How do you know when to use snacks or cores to level a new spirit? It seems like you could waste a lot of resources on a dud.

Also is it bad that I'm at level 70 with cutman? Lol

I really haven’t used much strategy aside from changing my spirits to counter their spirit type and any negative status effects.

I’ve mostly finished with the first phase of world of light. I already used an exploit to unlock all my characters but I was just taking in the nostalgia drip feed from all the scenarios each fight presents.

I can definitely tell that I’ve missed out on quite a bit of notable Nintendo history since I haven’t really played on a Nintendo console in about 2 generations. So many Pokémon I don’t recognize at all

So, all the ones that evolve are at least useful, so if you get anything that can evolve, use it on those.

Depending on who you use I would always have a 3-slot Support Primary in Each Color - Red, Green, Blue, Grey. Level that up. Next I would just prioritize what character you use to unlock. Like four said above, Marth is his go to, same for me. Him and Ryu so far.

How do I know which can evolve besides the obvious Pokemon? I don't have any 3 slots yet, and I haven't spent any snacks or cores because I don't think my spirits are worthwhile. I've seen some of the legendaries powered up over 13k, but I need some to get to the legendaries. I can get novice and advanced off the spirit board without difficulty. I either get cheesed or dominated by ace or above. The summons that are available don't look that much better than what I've got

Btw the battles that start with an assist trophy suck. I'm struggling with the early 9000 peach one at Luigi's Mansion with the photographer assist trophy. Eff that

Instead of saying "Starts with beam Sword Equipped" or something it will say "Can be enhanced at Level 99." So, not all Pokemon evolve, fyi.

Both of those battles suck, I still haven't beat either one. If I were you, I would just go to the Spirit Board and start an unlocking bonanza. That's what I did. You're bound to find at least some novice spirits that reduce some of the trickier conditions.

There's a good one, Alma and Celia Spirit, that starts you off with a rear guard, handy for many of the multi fights. Mythra Spirit is higher damage against assist trophies. And There's a good one that starts you off with a Franklin Badge (Reflects projectiles - easily one of the msot useful spirits).

Dont bother leveling eevee to 99. I assumed he would evolve once he hit 99 but he never did anything

Fwiw, find the Celebi spirit and use the shite out of that for the end of WOL. Helps tremendously.

Olimar makes stamina battles incredibly easy! Just run a lot and throw your pikmin at the enemies. They do tons of damage and you can just focus on staying alive. Its allowed me to beat all the tough stamina fights

I ended up using lil Mac with a bunch of fist attack buffs for a decent chunk of world of light. He wrecks stamina battles.
