$35 for Skyrim + all the DLC.

There's a predicament.

I have Skyrim for Xbox, but the DLC is so fricking expensive.

Anyone here play the DLC for Skyrim? Worth it?

I haven't played it but I've watched video of it because I was interested. It is a top down survival game. You go out, collect supplies, kill critters, fight monsters, cook food, etc.

And then you see how long you can survive. Unlike Minecraft, which has elements of all of the above, this is extremely focused on how long you last. In fact, it even shows you a little meter when you die of how long you lived and then the game starts over.

I think the longer you survive the more playable characters you unlock and they might have different abilities or something. Not sure.

It sounds interesting but not the kind of game I'm personally looking for right now.

And you're right. Seems like that game's on sale pretty much every other day on Steam.

Gabe ends it once the world economy is completely destroyed.

Wait on it, that deal runs the length of the sale so it may get cheaper. That's what I'm doing.

Shadowrun got pushed back to late July instead of listed June 25th release. It's kind of in limbo at the moment.

I'll still be able to save a few bucks on it. I loved that game back in the day. No way I could resist getting it.

Basically steam introduced levels. You level by getting XP from badges. This is where cards come into play. Getting all the trading cards for a certain game allows you to craft a badge. Usually the badge comes with a coupon, or recently a mystery card (which are the cards you use to craft the summer sale badge). One of the big things is that you only get 4 card drops a game. So basically if I got all 4 of my card drops for Borderlands 2 I would have to trade or buy the other four cards to craft a badge.

Now the advantage to leveling up is making your profile look cooler I think. I got a badge a few days ago and it boosted me up to ten. Once I got to ten I got to showcase my favorite game at the top of my profile.

Overall it's pretty confusing so I'm sure everything I typed above is cryptic as hell, lol. All I do is sell the cards for like 50 cents so I'm probably missing something.

I don't know the actual appeal to it, but I have been getting the cards and selling them on the Market.

I think I have made around $25-30.

You get cards by playing specific games that "drop" cards. I have a large library, but I would just leave a game running when I'm at work, and when I got home I would have gained the cards.

yeah, I don't know why they dropped this at sale time. I'm already steam level 10 whatever that means. so I'm not very concerned about leveling

Now that my finger is no longer broken, I might just have to get back into the habit of playing again.

If I open up my steam app, I'm totally screwed.

Though whole trading card thing looks dumb to me. I'll probably just sell them when I get enough.
