So im going to the museum in dawnstar to do the quest. I get into town and all is gravy. I go to the museum and am politely asked to come inside to veiw the collection. As soon as I enter I am attacked by the owner and a guard and next the whole town. Ive looked but cant find answers as to why or how to fix this. Does anyone know? If I cant fix this ill start with turning the children into slaves to carry my loot. Then I will have sex with the wives in front of thier husbands, followed by an arrow to each of their heads, before I burn the fricking city down, but id rather not go that route.

Fixed. Come on, Nappy.

Maybe you have a bounty on you? Are you a werewolf? If anyone sees you transform, you have a price on your head. I don't recall doing that quest, so I don't know the specifics.

Lol i almost put it but i was going for the element of surprise.

I am a werewolf, but have not transformed. I may have a bounty on me but i dont know what i have done to cause it as its my first time in the city. The dont ask me to pay anything, they just attack. But is the game smart enough to be all nice to me and lead me inside and ambush me? No one attacked me outside before i went in.

That's the part that throws me off. In my experience with Bethesda games, they attack you on site. Skyrim is keeping you on your toes

Are you doing this at night? Maybe the game interprets it as trespassing.

Yes. it was at night. Hummmmmmmm you might be on to something here.

I did have a guy not to far but not that close from the city say there was a bounty on me or something, but it wasnt a hit. He wanted me to pay cash and was not dresses as a guard. So i kindly declined and watched him suffer from poison arrows.

Well that could also be your problem.

But the guy was not dressed as a guard. Yet he wanted me to pay for something that i don't even know. I would have paid but the prick wanted 2000 gold. So i said no and he charged me and he died.

Maybe the game was on autopilot with the quest you were on, but once it got to "free mode", it remembered it hated you.

The question is will i miss out on to much if i slaughter the town?Part of me really wants to do this because of their trickery. I want to kill them all. The fact that they did this makes me want to kill everyone in skyrim. I can accept being attacked once i enter the town, but dont bullshite me into asking for help and then putting me in my weakest spot. Which is close quarters with spark draining magic. I depend on sneak, distance, and bows.

Its like your GF sending you a text saying " Hey, im going to send you some nudes, dont show anyone." You are all like frick yeah and then its a pic of her nude getting fricked by a black man.

Any of them, I believe. You have to become a member of the Companions.

Thanks

If Silus begins attacking the player once you arrive at the shrine, running away until he is no longer following, then fast travelling to the shrine should make him friendly again.
If you have a high enough bounty in the Pale, whenever you approach Silus at the shrine he will attack you, no matter if you fast travel back and forth or not. This will not allow you to finish the quest. To fix this, the player must rid their bounty in the Pale. If you are a member of the Thieves Guild or have the perk, you can pay off your bounty, else wise, serving time in jail may solve the problem. Return to Silus and he will not attack.

Might be the problem. I did do a thieves Guild. But if the bounty is to high then i will just murder them all.
