SIAP - Anyone catch a select few parts of the Game Awards?

They were actually pretty entertaining especially when they got to the Way Out directors interview

ETA: Pressed enter accidentally before I was ready to end the post but yeah. The GOTY nominees were crazy. Some all time great games were released this year.
I almost feel bad cause out of the 26 current GOTY awards, BOTW took home 21.

I love Horizon, but it’s foolish to even put it in the same realm as BOTW. Horizon is an interesting setting with great combat, but it doesn’t really do anything original outside of that. BOTW is in a genre of its own IMO.

Horizon is a brand new IP. Zelda has serious brand recognition and on its 90th installment. Cards were stacked for sure.
Finished Odyssey last night. Fun game, but if anyone suggests THAT is a better game than Horizon, they have some hardcore goggles on.

BOTW winning GOTY but not the genre it won is mind boggling. Well, many of the choices were but that's to be expected.
It was a better show than last year though.
