It's all about balance, and they get it. If they support it with DLC properly, I could see this game being played 2+ years.

Aight, so can i set a SOFLAM down on the side of the road, a tank drives in front of it, then anyone with a Javelin etc auto locks when they pull it out?
ETA - and i dont have to be looking through it when the tank comes?

Yeah. Most of that team was on the bridge and the mortar guy was behind them at the foot of the bridge. It's like they were protecting him.
This is why MW3 is Meh...look at the sniper one when hes laying down. Hardly ever is scoped over a guy but still gets kills. bullshite imo.

I just played a quick round using the SOFLAM. You can spot enemies from pretty far off with it, but in order to get the laser locked on it must be within range. I would guess the range to be about the same as the Javelin, maybe a little further.
Not knowing this, I set it up in the wrong area of the map. Not that it would have mattered anyway, no one on my team was equipped with missiles.

As long as you can figure some way to get it where it can be in a nice hidden spot...maybe on the top of a building on Firestorm or on a hill on Caspian Border...one of use will have a guided rocket. Blee dat.

How clutch would this be on the Canal level? People always F up getting the choppers in the air. Set up shop with SOFLAM pointing at the ship, small crew of javelins on the shore line. All I do is Nguyen, Nguyen, Nguyen, no matta what.

I'm not so sure it needs to be all that hidden.. it doesn't make any sounds like both the spawn beacon or the motion detector do. So as long as it is out of sight, it should be good to go. And I think it stays where you put it even after you die.

Bro I saw this helo taking off when I was in a jet. I fricking Mavericked that bitch and he was dead before he could get going. I unlocked heat seekers and IR flares in one match. Almost ready for stealth. I did WORK, son.
