Grabbed it from a buddy for $30 and I started road to the show at about 7pm and didnt move from my seat till 4am to cut it off. Wow.
Any tips? I started off bad with hitting..around .200. Then I switched to the analog swing and got up to .340 and have hit a slump and am back down to about .320. Any better set up than analog?
Kinda fricked myself with not knowing about goals and my emails bitching about me stealing with no signal and was benched often because of it. But im good now and know what to do etc.
Whay does it take to get to AAA and the MLB?

Keep getting at least 2/3 or 3/4 of your goals and have good stats. Only way to advance.

Ive missed 2 chances on the goals. Figured it out the 3rd time with success, but pretty pissed about the missed chances.

Switch up the batting views if you have trouble reading pitches. I'm using catcher 3. I just won the world series with Yankees in my 7th season. Hit .380/55/142. Won the triple crown LAB.

Guess fastball and inside everytime. That way if it's not fastball you know it's going to be an off speed pitch and outside/down the middle.

yeah, I always guess fastball and won't swing at anything else unless it I have 2 strikes
I need to try switching up my camera angle because I am god awful at this game(on higher difficulty levels).

I never really played baseball games. I picked this one up 3 weeks ago and I've been hooked since.

I remember on The Show '10 I almost never walked. Now, I walk all the time. It's definitely a bonus when you figure out what all the pitches look like.

How do I figure out what pitches look like?
Im still hitting .340 with just swinging at everything but id like to get some BB stats for the goals.

Is there any where on the game to pratice this?

The easiest way to hit for me is change guess pitch to 1/4, so the zone is split into 4 sections. Always pick fastball and down. Knowing if a pitch will be a strike when it is low is harder than seeing an outside pitch that is a ball. Put difficulty on rookie. You only have to press x to hit it. It's all about timing. Play Homerun derby a few times to get use to hitting fastballs and only swing at those in the game. Unless 2 strikes of course.
Also, adjust your sliders early in your career to make better contact and more power. Will help you advance faster if you have good #'s.

I wouldn't suggest doing this. HRD "fastballs" and in-game fastballs aren't the same. Maybe for how the pitch is released, but nothing else.
The only way to get used to it and learn it is to keep playing games. Guessing fastball is a great way to get adjusted because if you don't guess it correctly it's likely that an offspeed pitch is heading your way, unless it's a 2-seamer/cutter.
Obviously if a guy has a 3-pitch arsenal that consists of 4-seam, 2-seam, and an offspeed pitch, don't guess fastball.
side note...Does anyone else notice that the further you go into RTTS (5-10years) that more and more pitchers throw knuckleballs and knuckle-curves? It's slightly annoying expecting the knuckle when you guess wrong on a fastball and they dude zips a measly 82mph slider right down the poop shoot.
