Those settings were... something lol.

Finished at +1.

I hit every Fairway short of one grazing the light rough but every approach would fly right past the hole or green.

Guess it would have helped to actually look at what the settings were at. Ah well, that one was just for fun.

Rushed home in time to get it done. Somehow shot a -3 while shooting bogey and double bogey on 8 and 9.

I will schedule more tournaments tonight when I get back from dinner. The championships and majors will be random and in no particular order.

I know I’ve said it before but send in some course suggestions. I will be throwing in a wide range of difficulty from easy to hardest.

Alright, Degenerates. S2 schedule is completely done. Currently we have 18 members. That forced my hand to go from a final four to final 3 tournaments. Everyone will be eligible for the first round. Semi final will be the top 10 members in points for the season which includes the first round playoff. It does not give an option of top 15. The final will be the top 5 in points earned. If we somehow grow by 7+ members between now and the first round I can change the second round to top 20 instead of 10 and then make the finals 10 members.

Tournament Layouts are as follows:

Regular Tournaments: 1 round/1 day. 50 entry. 500 season points.

Championships: 2 rounds/1 day. 75 entry. 550 season points.

Majors: 3 rounds/2 days. 100 entry. 600 season points.

Playoffs (Finals): 1 round/1 day. 115 entry. 2000 points.

For the finals I did not put an alternate tournament for those who do not qualify. It seemed like people not eligible for Tournament of Champions (me included) we’re still able to participate in S1. I don’t want that to mess up the finals. There is one Championship tournament where you need to have finished in Top 10 of a tournament in order to play. There’s an alternate for that and if it works right I can add alternates to end of season.

Good luck you filthy animals!

Played today's tourney. Finished -6.

The good... Shot a -6 30 on the front 9. Holed in 2 chips. Actually hit the flag on 2 par 3s, nearly holing out each.

The bad... gave a good bit back on the back 9 with a shot in the water and 2 missed putts from 5 feet out.

I haven’t come within 6 feet of a hole in one. Have quite a few chips ins and one hole out from about 85 yards IIRC.

I might be the only one with an ace and no replay to show for it. Wasn't even a great shot either. Had I hit it where I was aiming it definitely doesn't go in

So where does all our in game money go?

It was 50 to join the last tourney but the winner of the tourney gets 24, so he nets a loss of 26 for winning the tournament?

I don't play enough offline to be able to keep up with this, my money will just run out I'd guess if I'm dropping 50 every tourney with zero chance for decent pay days.

Looking at the newest tourney, another entry fee of 50 but the total tourney purse is 108? Yuck.

Played Acadia National.

Was clear the lead by 1 shot at -5 but bogeyed 18 to finish -4, currently tied with LSU223 for the lead.

Admittedly, I am confused by the winnings if someone can help me out. I talked with Btig about it and had the same thought of “so I still lose money if I win?”

There is an option to add a bonus purse from our society’s bank. I can start adding that but it’ll dry up quick without donations and we’re back to square one.

I increased the amount of the buy ins that go into the actual purse which I thought would combat that happening.

I was thinking the purse goes up pending how many members play that tournament. If not many play a tournament then yes the winnings won’t exceed the buy in due to a smaller about of buy ins to fund the purse.

You’re commenting about the 50 buy in being rough but championships are 75 and majors are 100.

I will take another hard look tomorrow afternoon and see if I can get a better payout system going.

ETA: I remember after completing the tournament I had a currency reward of 250 for just completing a society event. That should at least cover the buy for the next tournament after completing one. I will still figure the rest out though.

Appreciate it.

I don't mind the buy in. Obviously bigger purses would be nice but I wouldn't even mind it staying as is, who cares about the money. I just don't know if I'll actually have enough money to play, that's my only issue.

That being said, I've noticed only when I'm in our society, below my money in the top right, it shows a bank of like 7500 or so. Is that basically all of our extra money that's being lost banked? If so, maybe allotting 1k or so for each of the Majors would be a good idea, or something like that? If I'm correct that this bank is the society bank of where our extra funds are going, some kind of idea to slowly bring that back into purses would be a cool idea.

Will add our society funds to bonus purse to this upcoming first championship tournament and see if that increase our winnings appropriately.

That was the first time I’ve played Acadia. That course was pretty fun to play. I’m pissed with my score because I was in a bunker and didn’t hit over the lip TWICE!! The shot graphic said I was in the clear. Ended up with a DB. Was furious.

Today confirm, I can "quit" and turn off my Xbox either in the middle of a round or after round 1 of 2, like you can in the offline PGA tour mode, correct?

Just played round 1 at the newest course. I was +3 after 2 holes. Battled back to -1 and like I feel like I always do, I got a bogey at 18 to finish even. But to my question above, I'm looking to play round 2 tomorrow if possible.

Yes it should leave and pick up wherever you left off as far my experience has gone.

I can’t believe I stroked out on a hole in round 1 haha. I birdied that same hole in round 2. I was just being stubborn going for a certain shot over and over. Hit 5 water balls
