you can checkout and preload from the website if your PS4 is in rest mode. that way it will be ready for you when you get home.

there's a good chance the beta will be available early since the alpha was early.


eta: to redeem your beta code from the playstation store, go to account management and select "Redeem Codes" in the list of options to the left. then go to the playstation store link i posted above and it should be available to download there.

I’m not entirely sure. It may do that. And may also do what PlayStation did. Have the beta posted for everyone to see but have it hard coded to read if your account has preordered yet.

Regardless of what Xbox does, Activision should have a code for you in the link above when they release them.

First impressions.

Obviously the beta is a small sample size.

Its fricking hard. This isnt your typical CoD gunplay and quite frankly..I kind of love it, but you gatta learn you guns almost to a battlefield level. The recoil..the attachments...the gun perks bring so much more life. I love the little tactical perks they have. Drop ammo, shield, or get FMJ rounds and I like how they have different time lengths before the become active. It is nice to know that im not really forced to have a FMJ perk because everyone else is using it all the time and im allow to play how I want to play..not what the meta dictates as far as perks are concerned.

Im a little meh about the maps in the beta. But I can tell they really put some thought into the layout and how it can influence games like domination/hardpoint. People can come from many openings and you arent just gonna be safe sitting still and hardscoping.

Perks are good perks and seems well balanced. A good throw back to some of the kill streaks and items like tac insert and heartbeat sensor.

The sounds are great but holy frick are they loud and all over the place. I think they should tune it down a bit before release.

I feel like they said lets take all of what made CoD successful and lets do a rebrand and I think it was the best move they could make at this point because I feel like im playing CoD but also something new and exciting just because of how the gunplay is less arcade like and way more customizable.

I have already bought the game and my only concern right now is the Maps. That is a big concern but it could also be better once I understand the maps and the flow more efficiently.

Also the cross platform is gonna scare me in regards to being in the lobby with PC players. This may ultimately be my turn off.
