I am looking at getting a monitor for gaming on my laptop and to eventually use when I build a pc. I know how to pick tvs but I know monitors can be different. What do I need to know? What are good brands? Any recommendations?

I can probably only play games at 720p but would like to have 1080p if I can play a game at that resolution and because I plan to be able to at some point. I am probably also looking at about 23-24".

I'm on my vita right now so I cant link anything, but there's an LG 120hz 23" monitor i found on ebay for $195. They're brand new and usually retail for $300+. I might grab one soon

dammit . Look into getting a Yamasaki Catleap. IPS, 27" and gorgeous picture. I bought one from ebay for a measly $350 2 years ago and is still going strong.

Some of you ppl are being silly and plain stupid.

Buy yourself a Crossover off eBay and be done with it.

I got me a really nice 24" Asus monitor when I built my computer last year. I really like it. I wish I could remember the model.
