Put it on timing for batting. I like a little more of a challenge so I put the aim reticle on

Creating my Road to the Show character. This might be the greatest sports game ever.

I decided to take the plunge with analog hitting, and I kind of like it. It's harder to make a knee jerk swing like when you just have to push a button (although I'm just at the tip of the iceberg with all the controls, and I still have auto fielding and baserunning on). I also moved the camera up to catcher zoom, that seems to help. I still have a bad habit of swinging at everything, but it's getting better.

Holy shite this takes forever to install. I just left it for about 2 hours and it's only 30%. Started messing around looking at rosters, it got up to 32%

I just made my RTTS player. Added some of my free stubs from game stop and got him up to 82 overall. Got drafted 4th round to the white sox. I have blasted 3 Homers in 3 games already. And I agree this is the best sports game ever fricking addictive.

Drafted 15th overall at a whopping 55 overall attributes. Hitting .320 in AA right now, just a couple of homers and about 25 RBI. About 25 games in or so.

So I guess there's no advancement goals now. Kinda cool, but now you just have no idea when you'll get called up.

This tells me a lot about how their doing their ratings. Everything seems to have gotten knocked back like 10 points. Draftees in a similar spot in '13 woulda been 65-68 probably

I'm gonna get a badass pitcher and throw curveballs that land about 4 inches below the zone for every pitch...jeez it's hard to lay off those

That's what I was thinking.

Ok... I have to tear myself away from the game because I have to be up at 5:30 to go speak to some folks. Y'all take it easy.

A few interesting things happened while playing yesterday. When I was still installing I ran a quick game with the Tigers and Giants. Verlander was up to bat and the first pitch I sent his way was a big curve and he swung and the bat came out of his hands and went into my dugout announcer was like heads up I'm that dugout as the bat comes out of his hands. Then on my RTTS player I stole 2nd and the 2nd baseman got in my way and hit my player in the head when I was sliding and knocked his batting helmet off. Was pretty neat.

Yep. I had a swing with my RTTS player that the bat came flying out.

Also, something of note in RTTS: if you have it on fast play, I noticed that if you are on base and you are holding forward to advance when a ball is fouled, you'd better get off the sticks QUICK. Otherwise it kicks you right back on base and basically makes you steal. This happened 10 plus times to me, even though I tried to release it earlier. Happens really fast, so I just put it back on broadcast mode.

Besides, you can't stand and admire your HR's and see replays in FastPlay.

I only got to play two games last night, and I was either very early or very late on almost every swing. I even did a homerun derby and it was the same thing. I'm screwed.

I used to be pretty good at this game but I haven't bought it the last 2 years. I was late on everything my first game last night too. I played the Reds and Cueto had 15 K's in 6 innings against me.

Does anyone know if you can add friends through the PSN website? I can't find a place to do it. I forgot to add UH last night for the invite.

Alright need some input here.

There are 3 schedule types to choose from, Open which allows all game to be playable. Flex, which opens a series of games in advance (we choose how many see below) and then advances automatically in 3, 5, or 7 days, and then there is series, which is one series at a time and advances in the same 3-7 days chosen.

For flex you then choose the Flex Leeway, which is how many series' are open in advance.

So what do you guys think? Flex schedule with 5 real life days to play 3 series? That's what I was thinking. If that's too much we need to know here soon, I'll hold off on making the franchise until tonight so we can get responses because this isn't changeable once created.

I also changed the wildcard game from a 1 game playoff to a 3 game series while leaving the others default. Even with 30 players, max playoff teams allowed is 10. So WS length is 7 games, championship series 7, divisional 5, wildcard 3.

I only played for about 30 mins last night and 30 mins at about 5 am...only did batting practice.

Once I was Hanley Ramirez and I said "f it" and faced Kershaw. Ummmm wow, Kershaw is like really...really good. Whoever was saying it doesn't matter about pitching...false.

Then I was Cabrera and faced Gio Gonzalez and I hit one hanging breaking ball out, but he was pumping fastballs by me. I later faced wainwright who's fast ball was only around 91 and I was squaring him up good. But 94-96 with deception when you don't know it's coming...it'll be a long arse time before I start to make contact on the reg
