I have not played any other games other than this since I saw this thread. I have looked at some of the projects those in the spaceport have done and am dumbfounded on how it is even possible to do what they have accomplished.

I still have problems making a good orbit happen.

Same. I can get into orbit but I'm still having problems figuring out all the controls. Like how to do a space walk and get my guy back to the ship, and how to go back to ship control if I have a guy outside. I want to get all 3 astronauts out of the cockpit but I can't figure out how to once I have one out there. I have to control him. There's got to be a way to get all 3 outside.

Actually there is a TON I don't understand as far as objectives in the "game".

Are things totally a self gratification of doing certain things? (Like i want to land on the mun/planets) but is there a "checkmark" or something if you do?

It really is just fun to build a rocket from scratch, get it into orbit and have your astronauts do a successful space walk. And watching the sun come over the horizon from about 300k meters above the surface is great. They did an amazing job with the graphics and lighting for this game.

I have never done the EVA, as I always am feeling that getting in orbit itself is the major accomplishment (No offense Gemini astronauts).

My next thought is Mun or interplanetary travel which I have 0 knowledge of how to make this happen. Anyone that can point me to how to coordinate these voyages would be great!

I will say that they need to do some serious tweeking on the "airborne" physics. The airplanes have close to no stall characteristics (you can be going VERY fast and if you stall you act as if you are in weightlessness.

I would go and watch some videos on YouTube of it. There are some guys that are really good at that stuff and will explain it very well for you.

ETA: Here are some pictures I just took of one of my Orbitals. He ran out of fuel unfortunately so he's kind of..... stuck until I can find a way to rescue him.

Agree completely. Trying to fly an airplane is damn near impossible without losing something off the aircraft.

ETA: Was able to get this guy back on to Kerban. Landed a bit north of the space station though.

The guy that got back home was a separate mission so my other guy is still out there in orbit.
I was able to save enough fuel to have a successful reentry this time.

I know, this is bullshite. My friend from Clemson is finishing this week, and LSU is getting out next week.

We did have a long arse winter break (like 2 weeks longer than LSU), which is better than getting out a week earlier for summer, IMO

I would think so. Did you crash into it or were you incinerated by the heat?
