Ghost Recon Wildlands PvP
I know I know, there’s a few of these threads, however they’re not updated with new material and seem to be dead.

How are y’all liking the new classes? Maps?

The predator is so OP it’s insane. I like to predator when quick playing against noobs. They haven’t learned how to combat somebody rushing them. The Pathfinder is really cool and maybe my second most played character. The crossbow is a nice touch. The ability to be immune to mines is lame though.

I really like the new map Scrapyard and ruins. Urban Incursion needs to be a Recon tower map. And the Jungle Base map should be access tower.

Pretty much all I play now is the predator and pathfinder.

The pathfinder is OP as frick on forest night levels. Camp a bush n you're good to go

I don't find any of the classes OP, everything has it’s counter. It’s always funny to me when you read “nerf this nerf that” when a mortar drone guy runs into a pointman, predator, etc. and gets rolled. It’s a game based on tactics, not head to head 1v1 combat. I dig the new maps, and personally love the new tank gun.

When the opposing team has a Pathfinder, it’s practically an auto win for us. The class is cool as hell and has some great perks, but it’s easily countered. I run Diversionist with thermal on most night maps, Pathfinder kryptonite.

I just got ranked last night and am gold 2. Is that good or bad?

Yeah diversionist is a great counter to the pathfinder

re: Ghost Recon Wildlands PvP
The new tank gun is one of the best on the game.

The Wildlands reddit is full of guys wanting to nerf everything. However, IMO, only the predator needs a nerf and the Pathfinder needs an alternate weapon adjustment. Right now it doubles as a ranger/assassin combo with its stealth capabilities and having the scorpion.

I didn’t really explain in the OP why urban incursion and Jungle Base need to be swapped. Urban it’s all about rushing into the access point building and mining it up. 9/10 it’s an easy win if you do this. Jungle Base, since it’s recon tower, all anyone does is camp the building behind the Recon tower with three stories.

Yeah whoever gets to that building first wins basically. There’s numerous times Ive sprinted straight there and got a double kill just from throwing frags in the front door

ETA: the biggest advantage in the game IMO is the suppression immunity of the Pointman

Til I got to rank like 10 all I played was pointman... The first round I changed it up I was like... Suppressed? Wtf?

re: Ghost Recon Wildlands PvP
we had a match like that playing on Jungle Base. We scrambled to the building I mentioned above, my partner through a prayer Grenade to the door on their side along the back, took out two of them. It was three of us with a random mid level scrub. It was basically 3 v 4 entire time.

Idk, the Battle Rage that Predator has is OP af. I’ve melted guys with that, taking out 2 or 3 guys at a time. . The predator paired with a good tank/pointman/dirstupter is a GOAT combo.

As somebody who plays Medic 90% of the time I also believe medic is OP. They need to make the cool down for revive at least 5 seconds longer imo.

A strategy of ours is to Morter fire the enemy’s side of the access point building on Urban Incursion ASAP

I agree, and I also play medic often. I’m all about utility and stealth, so I always play something that can contribute more than just killing (medic, jammer, tank, etc.). My brother runs point and I just cover him, keep him alive, and spot for him. He’s savage and can shoot with the best of em. I’m more of an opportunistic killer, sneaking up on people or baiting them into mines/C4.

OK so I've been playing ranked and my rank just stays at gold 1. Doesn't matter if I win 2 or 3 in a row either way. Just stays at gold 1. Why?

re: Ghost Recon Wildlands PvP
How are you playing each round? I’m a plat 2 and haven’t dropped to Gold for one match.

The ranked system penalizes you if you have a down match - yes just one match. And if you’re playing against a lesser ranked team, it expects you to mop the floor with them. Against higher ranked teams, you have some leeway. Search both of the Wildlands Reddit, you can find it better explained.

I have a partner I play with who has a 1.8 KDR in quickplay and probably something like that in Ranked from what I’ve seen, and he’s a Gold. Meanwhile I have a ~1.4 ranked KDR (you can search the ghost recon website to find yours) and I’m a Plat. I get a lot of points from revives and sometimes pull off three kills in a match (more xp). I think he loses more ranked matches cuz he plays with IRL friends who aren’t that good at the game. I’m the only one hes played with who he doesn’t know irl when we team up with his buddies.

re: Ghost Recon Wildlands PvP
I'd say I'm above avg point wise. I typically come in first/second with around 7-900 points.

Win rate is like 1.4 kd 1.1. I had gold 2 for one game and went down to gold 1. Haven't moved in a good 15 games.

Although it does Irk me being on a team of level x (still haven't prestige) vs 4 mid to high prestige level dudes. Like I get it the win/kd rate are compatible. But those prestige 9s know the map flow and layout FAR better than the level 22.

re: Ghost Recon Wildlands PvP
I’d look to add guys with mics (assuming you play with one.) Almost every semi decent player with a mic I play with, I shoot a friend request. I don’t play with 75% of them but there is a few I play with.

The ranked matchmaking also isn’t good. Matchmaking in general on this game sucks. Getting stuck with three other randoms vs a whole premade makes me want to quit the match right away.

Knockinjs

I’m usually on late nights (I’m pst) and sometimes before work I’ll hop on. Really depends on if the SO allows me to play some nights
