Getting back into Magic TG

I have a few friends who are decking up with Gatecrash and Avacyn Restored, and I was also thinking getting back in. Now, I haven't played since high school (4th & 5th edition). Is it easy to just jump back in? I have none of my old cards. So should I pickup a couple intro packs, or a core set toolkit?

The group I play with only uses the intro/core set of whatever expansion. We don't mix and match really at all.
If keeps things balanced and that is good because most of us are noobs. I do enjoy an occasional mtg night though.

Same here, I just got back into it a few months ago when my daughter started acting interested in it when I was looking through some mtg forums. We just bought a couple of intro packs and then started buying fatpacks and a booster or 2 everytime we hqad to go to Wal Mart or something. She likes opening the boosters to see what we get as much as I do. Selling a few of the $20+ rares we got on ebay this week to spend on more boosters lol.
Right now its just the 2 of us playing as we learn more about it but plan on visiting the local store pretty soon for their game nights

I'm not getting back in, but if I were to, I would just draft exclusively, at least until I got the card for standard.
