Fixing old N64
Does anyone have experience?

It worked about a year ago but now the red power light comes on but no image at all.

I was gonna take it apart and clean it to see if that would help but thinking it might just be the video out put cord/connection, it feels loose.

Also any recs on replacement brands or will anything do?
I would like to get a couple new controllers too

When I bought a new N64 and controllers a couple years ago the controllers were almost as much as the system itself.

Cleaning the cartridge slot is always a good idea. You can use a credit card to do so. Some durable paper towels + rubbing alcohol and then you wedge a credit card (or something adequately thin) back and forth throughout the slot to clean it.

You should also clean the games themselves, you can use q-tips and rubbing alcohol to clean the pins on the cartridge(s).

Those are always the easiest places to start when it comes to cartridge based consoles.

I literally don't think I've ever met someone who managed to break their N64.
