Nope. I did not enjoy that.
SE has just lost too much.
Sakaguchi, Matsuno, Ito (put on a shelf) are all gone.
Nomura is the golden boy now and I just don't like his style.
FF7R may be a really good game. And I may actually like it for what it is. I have my doubts after reading the story. I will see how it is in person soon enough. But it's not FF Remake, its more of a Reboot.

You play Before Crisis? Dirge? Crisis Core?
You watch Advent Children? Last order?
All of which are related to FF7 world and plot?
Did you know that you can miss out on Vincent and Yuffi in the original game?
How does Rufus survive?
The black cloaks? Who are they? They just disappear after you talk to them.
What really is the lifestream? What capabilities does it truly have? We know it can do a lot and change a lot.
To me...there is a lot going on before I even play the remake. So all im getting at is that my jimmies are not gonna be rustled to much by some changes. Especially if it isn't the full release.

The Clones? FF has weird concepts, that is not the point of anything. If they wanted to expand more on that, that is fine. I don't care if it's the exact same.

You haven't saw it yet. It is not about expanding on ideas or things not being what we thought they were. It is straight up alternate reality and a character is aware it is.

This was not in anyway in the game before.
You literally could say what you are saying about any game ever. Does that make it a good story?
You will defend this game no matter what, that is fine. I am not trying to sway your opinion. I am done. Mine is it's silly.

Aerith has to die. The only way the White Materia can work is through sacrifice. Basically she becomes the Lifestream.

I seriously would not be surprised if they get cute with it though.
Like maybe she lives past where she dies previously but then dies anyway a different way later or something.

From what I've seen, they make Biggs' and Jessie's deaths more gut-wrenching.
I wouldn't put it past them to make Aerith's worse.

Oh totally. They could fake people out by having her be heroically saved at that moment she's supposed to go, only to setup an even worse death later on, with a whole "there's no escaping fate" theme or something.

I have it pre-ordered through GameStop now but I will give them a call today once they are open to see if I can pick it up tomorrow night. If not, then I will just buy through PSN store. Would prefer to have a physical copy and the sweet Shinra Card but it would most likely end up on my shelf collecting dust like the other collector's items.
