Destiny 2 looks like shite

Was watching trailers and early gameplay the other day and was pretty unimpressed. It looks like they haven't addressed the main issues I had with the first one (decent story, larger open world/exploration element) and just kind of expanded patrols and added some other mickey mouse bull shite. It also seemed clear to me that they are back to their old techniques and will release an incomplete game with DLC's already finished and clipped out so they can resell them later.
Essentially, why would anyone buy this game within the first 6 months if they know they can pay the same price down the road for the game plus the first couple expansions like we saw with the taken king.
I hope this thing tanks, and its a shame because the gunplay/mechanics are the best I've ever encountered in an FPS.

Couldn't play the first one due to 30 fps. Nothing's changed

It's a shame because the game has SOOOOO much potential. The foundation is there, but it looks like they literally just reskinned the first one with some different environments. I watched the trailer that was supposed to show case all the new exploration elements, and it was literally just like a normal patrol but just with a guy talking to you a little more. No threat of dying, no real incentive for exploration or interesting environments, just meh.

At least admit it makes way more financial sense to wait for the first expansion before purchasing considering if you buy from day 1 you'll end up spending 200 bucks vs 60 a couple months down the road

I'm not saying it isn't, but considering you don't really know dick about the game, and it's very possible it can be a really good game, I'd have no problem paying more up front just to play it when I want to play it.

Meh. Just considering the money most people sunk into the first one and the time and resources they've had to develop it I was hoping for a little more. You could very well be right and my concerns are total bull shite, but considering the gameplay was meant to advertise how great the open world is I just didn't see it and I think that's a bad indication.

I don't think people who started playing during the TK or after realize how far Destiny came from first release. I'm pretty stoked for 2 and it's clear they put an emphasis on more storylines. I for one am glad they finally decided to focus on the Cabal with so much untapped potential there.
Bitching about the price is pretty ridiculous. Even at the $90, (which I also paid upfront for the original) to get almost 2-2.5 years of steady new content is awesome and they'll continue to tweak it as they go.
