I literally just did the same thing. The lightning miracles are so much better than soul arrows, I really wish I went this route at first.
I also have a Lightning Murakumo +7 sword.... thing tears people up. Just beat like 8 Bell Tower invaders in a row.

Lightning spells are pretty awesome. I made a build that was strictly mage and I've now veered into adding faith because some of the spells are really good

I'm working on strength/faith build. Never really messed with the spells in DS1. At one point should I stop putting points into strength and just pump faith?

Unless you use spice, the requirements for really powerful faith spells are in the 40s

Just fought off a couple of your brethren. Nearly 1-shot a guy with great lightning spear. One punch with a chime finished him off.

dueling in this game can inspire insane levels of rage.

Maybe I was just having a bad night, but I suck so bad at pvp it's not funny. And the red phantoms in Iron Keep forced me to take a break. This game never ceases to be humbling.

What makes him a bitch is that one hit can either one-shot you or break your guard, and he has that annoying arse AOE that every boss in this game seems to have.
