i paid $45 back in March or April and have been playing non stop ever since, due to the open beta.
i really enjoy the competitive Multiplayer and its given me a lot of entertainment. If you dont enjoy multiplayer, i dont know that i could recomend the single player and scenario missions for a full $60
if you enjoy competitive online RTS with a group, get it. If you want it for single player campaign.. wait. imo
yeah, skype and headphones really helps for mid game strat changes and enemy spotting

Yeah, for MP I typically stick to shooters. For strategy games I like the solo campaigns, so I'll probably wait for a sale.

I have the other COH games along with World in Conflict which I really enjoy and recommend if you've never checked it out.

game is probably pretty balanced in 1v1

Nope, recent tournaments have had Russians dominating, like almost every game. Russian imbalance is even worse in 1v1 because Germans don't have time to utilize Opel Blitz.

so russians are OP in 1v1 and germans are op in 4v4 due to Opels and Tigers eh.
Seems as Soviets you have to play super aggressive and not even let them get 1 opel on a fuel depot in 4v4 or the parade of panthers and FlakPanzers will come soon.

Germans aren't even OP in 4v4 now. People have figured out that you can spam sniper-half tracks early and get rid of MGs.

both games i got ran over, things were going great until german armor showed up and overran my front line.
either i a) didnt have enough su-85s
b) didnt have enough ZIS
c) not enough conscripts with at grenades
or some combo of all 3.
i also was goin maxim spam and not sniper halftrack. the maxims gave me the upper hand early for sure each game but they are useless vs tanks.
Guess i need the commander with the group that can "Button" tanks and then unload with a ZIS barrage. yes , thats the ticket...

Just won my first german game in a while. Didnt build a unit and put fuel points everywhere and then only built panzer 4s,worked pretty well and we won.

Basically as germans you want to focus the majority of your forces on the fuel points to ensure that A - you get to Panzer IV and B - slow down Russians from getting SU85. This means you shouldn't focus on capping the other points (even victory points) until you have a handle on the fuel point that is closest to you. Are you talking about fuel depots or fuel caches?
