Yes yes, I stopped playing it, but like a sucker I keep tabs on it because it was so infuriating. But anyway, this actually doesn't sound that bad and it's the first solid proof of a shift back towards D2 in some ways. I'm sure it's no coincidence this is after they canned jay wilson's dumbass either... oh wait, yes it is. frick jay wilson.

His goodbye: LINK

Normally, I don't like when something like this happens to someone, but this dude should have been canned from D3 after the release

I like how 4 posts on the first page of that thread were deleted.

Meh. He helped make a solid game that made an assload of money.

Lots of people, myself included, bought D3 based on D2. This guy shite all over that game and then called out the D2 design team and generally treated fans with disdain. Most of the success of D3 came from D2. A trained monkey could have put a better game out

The game is bad, I still play from time to time just because I loved D2, but it is terrible.

sounds like they are moving in the right direction though. I hate that the legendaries are so far behind the good rares. I know that rares should inherently be the best items in the game, but it sucks to get a legendary and know that its not going to be that great unless you get a godly roll. I miss runes and personalization from d2.
Paragon levels and increased drop rates have done a lot to get me back into the game. I like that they are going away from the auction house. I appreciate that AH can be a boon to middle level characters when the drops just suck for those level items.

It is fun for those who are fans of the franchise but for someone just starting it was terrible. Some ppl say worst game in years type shtt.. lol

Rightfully so none the less, they really dropped the ball and was a shocker JWilson stayed on the project soo long.

ok lets be fair here. It had a good story, graphics were fine, classes are fine and decently balanced. It really is fun playing through your first time on normal. The real negatives started to pop up as you went through nightmare, hell, and inferno. The items drops were abysmally low initially which turned a lot of people off of it from the start. It made the grind not worth it. shite I am paragon level ten and I still haven't found a set item even after increased drop rates. People didn't really appreciate the required internet connection.

I mean it wasn't the biggest disappointment of all time, but it lost a lot of the qualities that made d2 so replayable.

It's a good game. Don't let fanboys who are mad they didn't get D2 with better graphics fool you.
