I just got done playing Assassin's Creed III and I can't help but think the franchise has taken a turn for the worse. Where do you go after an ending like that? Do you end the franchise or continue onward?

Spoiler

Unless Desmond knocked up some chick years ago who grew into a young man with the game taking place in say 2019, I don't know where the frick this franchise thinks it's going.

That ending was terrible.

Looks like I will pick it up in the Steam summer sale next year. 1 was boring and 2 was meh.

This is what I was hoping they were building to after AC2. I saw a rumor the other day that said they're planning on setting the next one in Brazil.

Have you ever paid attention to the endings in Assasin's Creed games? They've always been horrific.

I would hope that people looking for a thrilling narrative and story would be playing a different game.

The best part of ACIII was when Desmond got a gun in a present-time mission. I spammed Y like a boss.

Not as bad as Assassin's Creed III.

Yeah...I'm done with the Assassin's Creed franchise. Between the cop out twist at the end of Assassin's Creed, the death of Lucy in Brotherhood, and the ending to this POS game, I can't for the life of me continue with it.

Too bad. I know little about the franchise, but was thinking of purchasing because of the historical epic-ness of the game (or perceived historical epic-ness).

It doesn't bother me too much. I'm not emotionally invested into the characters all too much, so I just laugh at the bad ending and move on. Still will play the next if they're fun.
